The Ultimate Forklift Fire Blanket (FI-BL0707 and FI-BL0808) is specifically engineered to contain and isolate fires caused by lithium-ion battery-powered forklifts. Designed for the prolonged and intense nature of lithium battery fires, it helps stop fire spread, limit toxic smoke, and reduce damage to facilities, equipment, and surrounding infrastructure.

With a peak temperature resistance of up to 1600 °C (2900 °F) and the ability to withstand sustained temperatures of 1100 °C (2200 °F) for more than 50 hours, this blanket delivers reliable performance in real-world industrial fire scenarios.

Materials and Construction

The Ultimate Forklift Fire Blanket is manufactured from high-quality silica-grade materials, selected for exceptional durability and environmental responsibility. These materials are designed to withstand extreme fire conditions and have proven not to ignite during live fire testing, ensuring safe deployment even in severe lithium-ion battery incidents.

The blanket is available in three high-temperature silica material variants, with or without double-sided coating, depending on operational requirements. Certain configurations provide peak temperature resistance of up to 2050 °C (3720 °F).

Performance and Fire Control

The blanket works by limiting oxygen supply, effectively suppressing flames, reducing heat radiation, and controlling smoke and toxic fumes. It also creates optimal conditions for aerosol fire suppression units, further supporting fire control and preventing escalation.

Although designed primarily for forklifts, the Ultimate Forklift Fire Blanket is also suitable for other electric vehicles used in warehouses, logistics centers, and storage areas.

Testing and Certification

The FI-BL0707 and FI-BL0808 have undergone extensive testing and meet the highest international fire safety standards.

Only three fire blanket manufacturers worldwide hold the A1 fire class ISO EN 13501-1 test report, and Fire Isolator is proud to be among them ensuring uncompromising quality and safety.
